As a practitioner, Nicole acts as a channel for the Reiki energy which flows into her clients.  Balancing both human and animal energy systems promoting the body to heal its self naturally.

Reiki is totally safe and is a complementary treatment and can not harm you in anyway.  It is by no means a substitute for orthodox medicine or veterinary care and can help to treat a wide range of ailments with varying effects from client to client.

If you or your animal is suffering from stress, tension or lack of focus in your work then Reiki energy can help to balance the emotions that hold you in restrictive mental attitudes.

An animal session will take place in the animals environment with the owner present and free from distractions.  Nicole starts the Reiki treatment by scanning the energy points, known as Chakras, the energy will then be directed to where the animal needs it the most.  Some animals move away from the sensitive feeling, others may fall asleep, snuggle into the energy.  With horses, some may react violently, move away at first and then go on to just lick and chew.  These are all normal reactions.

A human session would be carried out at either Nicole’s Practice or a comfortable, peaceful environment.

The client can be seated or lying down fully clothed.  Nicole will then gently rest her hands on or above you (non-intrusively) using a series of positions from the top of the head to base of the feet.

Reiki energy can be felt as warmth, heat, cold or a tingling sensation.  It is such a relaxing treatment that some clients even fall asleep during a session.

Reiki sessions take from 45mins to 1hr and cost from £25 for a full treatment. Small charge may be applied for travel expenses outside Warwickshire area.

Important notice to animal owners:

Any therapy offered by Nicole Rankin is not intended to replace or act as an alternative to conventional treatments given by the vet. Owners are required to advise their veterinary surgeon of the intention to use complementary therapy as a support system to use alongside conventional treatments. The Veterinary Surgery Act of 1966 amended 1996 prohibits anyone other than a qualified veterinary surgeon from treating animals, including diagnosis of ailments and giving of advice on such diagnosis. However the healing of animals by contact healing, by the laying on of hands or distant healing is legal. However the Protection of Animals Act 1911 requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a veterinary surgeon the owner must obtain this. Therefore, before treating animals it is advisable to seek assurance from the owner that the animal has been examined by a vet. To give emergency first aid to animals for the purpose of saving life or relieving pain is permissible under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 Schedule 3
